Thanks to Jafco Tools for their delivery of new #rakehoes & #pulaskis just in time for Forestry Commission Lantra accredited Vegetation Fire Operator training module.
Teaching colleagues the correct and safe way to use these tools is critical to successful #wildfire suppression.
Yesterday we were mobilised, alongside Basingstoke Fire Station, to a 🔥 in the open at a residential address in Silchester. This was a grassfire, approx 74m x 50m, which started from a bonfire. Despite the recent rain, the ground is very dry please avoid lighting bonfires. #Heatwave2022

Crews are working very hard and are set to have an incredibly busy weekend - if you see a fire please call 999 from a safe location, and don't try to tackle it yourself. And please no BBQs or dropped cigarettes #CLA Country Land & Business Assn South East England Wildfire Group Rob Gazzard
Our countryside is at greater risk of fires due to prolonged periods of dry weather 🔥
Help support our emergency services and #BeWildfireAware when outside this weekend.
If you see a smoulder, a flame or a fire unattended, get to a safe place and dial 999.

There is still an ongoing fire at Ringwood Forest which is causing a large smoke plume. This is resulting in a general haze of smoke over the Bournemouth area. Residents are advised to close their windows and doors. #Smoke #Bournemouth #RingwoodForest #Dorset Bournemouth Echo
⚠️We currently have 10 fire engines, 4 unimogs, 2 water carriers and 10 4x4 vehicles in attendance at the #ChobhamCommon fire. Please continue to avoid the area while crews continue to deal with this large fire and follow Surrey Police for road closure details. ⚠️
