Up first, ZOSTERA. At WWT Castle Espie, we conserve zostera (or eelgrass). Thousands of Light-bellied Brent geese migrate to Strangford Lough to feed on it in the autumn and winter.

Garden tiger moth caterpillars are commonly known as ‘Woolly Bears’ due to their long, dense, black and ginger hairs. 🐛

These hairs are irritating to predators so also help to protect the caterpillar.
