2 years of flight on Mars!
On April 19, 2021, the #MarsHelicopter took to the Martian skies for the first time, proving that powered, controlled flight on another planet was possible.
Since then, it's racked up some impressive stats: go.nasa.gov/3AeJUKk
I continue to think that Ingenuity the #MarsHelicopter is one of the coolest things in there in the aerospace I industry, both for what it is and for what it means about the future of the ways we can explore.
#MarsHelicopter 51st flight on #SOL772 captured some significant landmarks like NASA's Perseverance Mars Rover (top left quadrant) and the #Belva crater.
It is disappointing to see the deterioration of Ingenuity's color camera, but keep in mind like many of its components, this was an…
Ingenuity perseveres.
Our #MarsHelicopter just flew its 50th flight on the Red Planet (out of a planned five), nearly two years after it first took to the Martian skies. This demo is giving a glimpse of the future of powered flight on other worlds. mars.nasa.gov/ingenuity
#MarsHelicopter 'i Ingenuity, NASA'nın @Perseverance adlı keşif aracının içinde 18 Şubat 2021 tarihinde Mars'a iniş yapan 80 milyon dolarlık küçük bir robotik helikopterdir. 19 Nisan 2021 tarihinde Mars üzerinde ilk uçuşunu gerçekleştirerek dünya dışında uçan ilk helikopter oldu.
This photo from Flight 51 may be my new favorite from #MarsHelicopter !
It shows the NASA's Perseverance Mars Rover rover standing on the rim of Belva, a 900m wide impact crater located on Jezero Delta.

Exceeding expectations... times 10! 🤯
The #MarsHelicopter , a tech demo originally expected to fly only 5 times, has completed its 50th flight on Mars.
So what's ahead for Ingenuity? go.nasa.gov/43vTd68
🎥 And…action! Check out my latest video of the #MarsHelicopter kicking up dust and taking off for Flight #47.
Ingenuity is well beyond its “warranty” at this point, but has been zipping along with me, keeping up for as long as it can as we move together uphill.
Got a closer look at the #MarsHelicopter than I’ve had in quite a while. Ingenuity is a little dustier since its first flight two years ago today (!!) – but it’s looking mighty good after 50 flights!
Over the weekend, Ingenuity completed Flight 44, traveling 1095 ft (333.81 m) across the Martian surface for 141.26 seconds.
Next up: The #MarsHelicopter will attempt Flight 45 as soon as today as it continues its journey up the delta. go.nasa.gov/3kjIw4Y
Hit that ❤️ to send your congrats to the #MarsHelicopter team, who gathered for a team photo today in celebration of the second anniversary of Ingenuity's historic first flight.
Well, we don't see this every day!
For the first time in nearly two years, NASA's Perseverance Mars Rover is close enough to see the dust on the #MarsHelicopter 's rotors. 😮 From about 75 ft / 23 m away, Ingenuity looks to be holding up well in the harsh Martian environment.

Calling all explorers in #Albuquerque ! You may know that NASA's Perseverance Mars Rover and the #MarsHelicopter are on display at NM Natural History – but did you know that @NASA experts will be there Friday, May 5 to answer all your nerdiest space questions? See you there! 🚀 Info: bit.ly/3pcHlGo
In the excitement of the great view of NASA's Perseverance Mars Rover at Echo Creek from #MarsHelicopter Ingenuity (above Mount Julian) I failed to notice the NASA article mentions some landing debris also visible. It's ~1/4 the size of the shadow, so ~30cm on a side

#MarsHelicopter #Ingenuity had a strange communication blackout. But thankfully, communication is back again: ow.ly/cPOS50OCHok
