Undeterred by the loss of their beach house after the rain, 4th grade has developed some designs to slow or stop the erosion affecting their house. Can't wait to test these plans out!

My 2nd grade students are learning about slow changes to Earth's surface. We observed rain on a hill. Students described the change using phrases like 'melted', 'went down', 'dissolved', or 'got destroyed'. When/how would you introduce the key term 'erosion' to them?

After seeing the lack of diversity in the PAEMST awardees, it became my goal to nominate at least one teacher of color per round and to have the lesson align to social justice issues. Kudos to elementary science teacher DavisEDU3 (he/him/his) for your PAEMST nomination!

Playing Léo Caussan - The Bibites in Biology class again this year. Asking questions like:
How does the simulation show Darwinian evolution? How is it different?
What are sources of variation?
What kind of reproduction exists in the game?
