Pte Alfred John Walter Howes (38) died in Shumran POW camp
Pte Walter Stock (19) died of wounds

OTD 1917:
The Ox & Bucks were in the forefront at the Battle of Arleux a British offensive attacking German defences near Arras. As a result 2nd and 2/4th Battalions lost 71 men on the 28th April. Western Front Association WW1cemeteries.com Commonwealth War Graves

Lerwick lad, Arthur Kay, died of wounds, May 3rd, 1918. He was the son of George and Mary. When he was wounded, the 25th M.G.C. was in the line southwest of Ypres and had been under heavy German bombardment. Arthur is buried at Boulogne, Eastern Cemetery. Commonwealth War Graves Western Front Association
