Today in Wales #Lucyslaw came into place which bans the third-party sale of puppies and kittens. Named in memory of Lucy, a Cavalier who was rescued from a Welsh puppy farm.

Vet Marc Abraham receives an #OBE for his animal welfare work, spearheading the campaign to ban 3rd party trade in puppies and kittens. #lucyslaw , which bans the practice, was introduced after ten years of campaigning last year. Marc documented his experience in his book.

As predicted the easing of covid restrictions and impending #Lucyslaw legislation has seen an increase in ex breeding dogs coming in to our rescue. We are also dealing with an increase in puppy pandemic handins and requests for respite care. These are today’s ex breeders.
