This #MothTrap has certainly been a step-up from what I've been having recently - 7/7 with three wonderful NFYs - Pale Prominent (Pterostoma palpina), Flame Carpet (Xanthorhoe designata), and Least Black Arches (Nola confusalis)

Phyllonorycter lautella emerged in the shed recently, from leaf-mines on seedling oaks collected at Parc Slip NR in the autumn. It wasn't very compliant and my photo doesn't do justice to its metallic splendour. #MothsMatter

A 3 hour drive to Skomer will be sweeter after potting this frosted green just now. Nut tree tussock and a lbam so far.. I didn't see this moth last year, so I'm grateful for its return (well, a relative of it anyhow!!)

I had a wonderful dream that my trap was inundated with moths, even a spurge hawk moth and swallowtail butterfly. Reality on awakening, 5 of 4 with a brimstone, 2 hc, e. Angustea and this flame shoulder..
