Morgwar means sea-giant in Cornish. And strange creatures, giant serpents and sea monsters have been spoken about from earliest times. The sightings seem to have been mostly on the south coast from Lands End up to Portscatho.

Acanthus mollis can be a thug in the #garden but there are places where it can be rather spectacular. Probably dumped here by a gardener it has spread on the cliff edge at Portscatho in #Cornwall In time this #plant could be invasive.
