As we end February and Black History Month we would like to encourage each of you to visit the Rothko Chapel & see the Broken Obelisk, dedicated in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. along with the 14 works of art by Mark Rothko.

The Broken Obelisk at Rothko Chapel was a beautiful and apt place to honor the life of Nex Benedict, someone who was so failed by people they should have been able to trust.
#morningreads ! Not a fan of reading such intense books on art! But so engrossed in the book on ‘Rothko Chapel paintings’. Ok do read a few pages every morning. But I totally get it and can reflect what is written back into my work! Of course I’m using different fabrics and dye’s.
