Not all scientists work in the lab. Some of us work on the computer modeling the recovery of the ozone layer. #dayofscience #scienceathon
12 posts in ~12 hrs! I made it! After a long day, I come home to Willow, who put her dirty paws on my pillow. Sigh. 🤷🏻♀️Thanks for following my #dayofscience ! Please consider donating to the link in my bio & support girls in STEM! #scienceathon
So much of what happens at the shore is determined by the beach slope and morphology . But how to measure the often un-surveyable? Until a new method of accurately capturing surf zone morphology is developed, the answer is simply....with difficulty! #daysofscience #scienceathon
Inspired by Tracey Holloway on #dayofscience . I'm lucky to get to spend my day thinking about how to teach computers not to discriminate and also how to teach them to think in general #scienceathon
Hi #ScienceAThon ! I'm an assistant professor at Ohio State University in the School of Environment and Natural Resources. I'm a chemist/hydrologist studying how landscapes affect water quality (and carbon-water interactions!), especially when those landscapes are disturbed.
Find your place of joy and passion then share it. I wrote this #childrensbook to share #Science and #Diversity with young #readers . We all deserve acceptance because #scienceiseverywhere #scienceisforeveryone

hey science fans - welcome to #DayOfScience / #scienceathon / #MolluskMonday with your Host, Carmi M. I am a geopal(eo) working in museo collections & this week is my personal joy :) jk it’s very busy & chaotic LOL. But I am excited to share the work life w/ u! 🤠 🦐🐊✨
Day 2 of #ScienceAThon Because of the pandemic I can't go to museums to see the actual specimens... So I'm using the next best thing --> surface scans and photographs to study the skulls of fossil monkeys!! 💀🐒 #dayofscience
Hello! Today is my #dayofscience for #ScienceAThon . I'm an assistant prof @ Colorado College. We teach on the Block schedule (3.5 weeks of class, one class at a time). Today is the last day of class - full of presentations, a faculty meeting, and diving back into research!
As the week draws to a close we would like to thank each and every one of you brilliant individuals that participated in this years #DayofScience #ScienceAThon
Please keep up the posts and continue to update us all on the life of a scientist!
Today I’m sharing my #dayofscience #ScienceAThon
The morning starts with getting the kids off to school by 7:00 and getting to work for an 8:00 am meeting.

The @Paleo_Society awards plaques arrived today! They look great! Now I just need to remember to bring them with me to #GSA2018 ! One of my last duties as Paleo Society Secretary before stepping down. #dayofscience #scienceathon
Attending 'Conversations on the Politics and Science of Climate Change in the Buckeye State' with the amazing Prof. Katharine Hayhoe! #dayofscience #ScienceAThon
Happy first #DayofScience for the Science-A-Thon! This week I'll feature pics from my current scientist life and from last year. This is from last year when I started my field season and was banding birds as a part of my research. #scienceathon #AcademicTwitter
Happy #earthsciencesweek 🌎 Shelly loves studying the Earth and its processes, and combining all the basic sciences to learn more. She's across the pond now, in grad school at ETH Zurich in the Department of Earth Sciences 🙌 @scienceathon #whatsyourscience #dayofscience
This week I will collaborating with #scienceathon by posting some of my daily activities as a scientist. Today it has been a productive writing day in the office at UC Davis Bodega Marine Laboratory
During #scienceathon week, I wanted to share this picture of home made mungbean sprouts. One of the very first science activities I performed in school was to germinate seeds to learn about radicle, plumule and cotelydons. #dayofscience #foodscience
