Today was the first day of installation for our 5th (!) mass spectrometer, the timsTOF HT from BrukerMassSpec. Can’t wait to fire this one up and try some experiments. We’re excited to officially become part of the Bruker fan club. 🤓

With SIMSEF you acquire an MS1-MALDI image, run non-target feature detection in MZmine and let the SIMSEF scheduling module create the MS2 lists. From here, the SIMSEF script controls the BrukerMassSpec to acquire the MS2 data:

Will timsTOF SCP will be the answer for single cell proteomics? I had some discussion with Bruker and the technology seems to be amazing. I wish Australia was not so behind in technology compared to the rest of the world. Seems no core facility in Australia has this.
