Alumni are making an impact! Bettina Ring Bettina Ring received CNRE’s Distinguished Alumna Award for her service to the forests of Virginia, and Daniel Patton, an environmental protection specialist for NASA, received the Outstanding Recent Alumnus Award!

CNRE faculty members Sarah Karpanty, Mark Ford, and Marcella Kelly made it a clean sweep for FWC in annual college mentorship awards. Karpanty is the Outstanding Mentor, Ford is the Outstanding Graduate Student Mentor, and Kelly was honored with the Inclusion and Diversity Award.

CNRE's Center for Leadership in Global Sustainability is hiring a senior manager of marketing and recruitment. More info is on the Virginia Tech Jobs site at bit.ly/49uN3oz and application review begins April 17.

Kudos to these three CNRE graduate students who were honored as outstanding in their respective category. Nicolas Corline is the Outstanding Doctoral Student; the Outstanding Master’s Student is Indunil Dharmasiri, and Lisley Gomes was named Outstanding Teaching Assistant.
