✅The transformation of the way food is produced & consumed was finally recognized as a key solution to tackle the #ClimateCrisis .

❗️But much more is indeed to build & support healthy & resilient food systems.

#COP28 has placed #FoodSystems front & centre of the climate fight.

That must be celebrated, but it must also translate into urgent & adequately financed action on the ground, explains Food and Land Use Coalition's Morgan Gillespy.

Countries can enforce carbon mitigation requirements for aquaculture & fisheries, promote shifts toward culturally appropriate and nutritious blue food diets, & adopt circular economies.

#ActionOnFood was the starter, main & dessert at #COP28 yesterday, with news that the Emirates Declaration on Sustainable Agriculture, Resilient #FoodSystems & #ClimateAction has reached 152 signatories.

But that wasn't the only headline! 🧵
