Great to hear BBC Radio 4 celebrating the vibrancy of today’s jazz scene this morning, as Mishal Husain interviewed Soweto Kinch on BBC Radio 4 Today about his new BBC Radio 3 show ’Round Midnight. Listen from 08:49:20 bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0…

One of the most heartening tweets (are they still called that?) I've seen in a long time. Listen up everyone! MUSIC AS MISSION: Choirs can revitalise churches, driving growth and rejuvenation. Great to see it recognised and supported. All credit to St Giles-in-the-Fields
Reviews of Bluebeard English National Opera are in & (for once) I have read them cos yesterday was so surreal that I’m still processing it. Instead of shopping in the supermarket, I found myself on stage in costume having gold confetti thrown over me. Thanks to Team ENO for making me so welcome.
It was a great pleasure to chat with James Jolly at Gramophone a few weeks ago about the delights we have in store next month at Leeds Lieder’s 20th Anniversary Festival. Hope to see loads of you there!!
Truly staggering singing & playing from the entire cast, huge chorus & band in English National Opera Jenufa. I hope the authors of Arts Council England opera analysis + Darren Henley CBE + Nick Serota go to see how a 120-year old opera handles male violence, honour killing and other, er, “relevant” ideas.
