Today is my last day as an intern with Amy Downes.
It's been a pleasure to meet all the amazing detectorists in Yorkshire and the colleagues for Portable Antiquities .
Thank you for this time! You can find me at Mathias Holch Kaas if you want to keep up with what I'm doing :)
Here is an interesting find from the Selby district for #FindsFriday : A Roman trumpet brooch lead model dating to about AD 75 - 175, featuring a central moulded acanthus motif. A pretty rare find, with only seven other similar ones in Portable Antiquities
This #FindsFriday we're at Bradford Museums & Galleries Cliffe Castle for a very busy Portable Antiquities Finds Surgery. We had the bright idea of live tweeting, but it's been too busy, so here's a quick catch up....
Showing off this great find for #FindsFriday ; A French 'Crown type' jetton, dating from the reign of Charles VI (AD 1380-1422). I adore the beautiful crown on the obverse. Found in the district of Doncaster.

Today, we had an exciting Find Surgery in Halifax at Bankfield Museum , where we received this Bronze Age dagger. The finder, Nicola Thompson, was pleased, and we were happy to share in her excitement.
What a great find!
