2 of about 10 Wimbrel and 2 of 3 Ruff at Exminster Marshes today. Common Sandpiper at Turf. Black throated Diver on Exe from Lock Keepers Cottage. Found by Martin Elcoate on 10th April but I saw presumably this bird on Exe from Cockwood the day before (honest).

A great day birding around South Devon today, highlights an all too brief Garganey at Exminster Marshes, 7 Eider at Dawlish Warren and 20+ (gave up counting) Pied Flycatcher territories on East Dartmoor.

Little Bittern showed from Station Road, Exminster at 14:15 then flew to ditch by the canal path.

I’m not great at small birds in flight but I did try to get one of my favourite birds in flight today 🥰 The Great Spotted Woodpecker 🔴⚫️⚪️
