We've got lots of Roman pottery on National Highways A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet including this mortarium sherd found by Archaeologist Peter.
This dates from between AD 50-190, and study of its stamp should be able to tell us the potter's name & workshop location! #FindsFriday

Here’s one for #findsfriday - glass. I always pick up glass on my travels as part of the detectorists waste disposal service. This piece intrigues me. Two layers of thin glass sandwiched together with what appears to be a silvered design. Found on a deserted med village site.
Cometh the hour, cometh the man?! Historian Brian Edwards recognised this Victorian photo & its significance at once. Doubt many others could have done the same! Brilliant find, great exhibition in Wiltshire Museum. #findsfriday #LedZep #rocknroll
