Thank you again to those who attended my talk at #HAconf23 and to Historical Assoc for giving me the opportunity! For anyone interested, here is a link to the 5 lessons I have developed as part of my PhD research. I think this change in focus is very important!

Most children won’t go on to study history, geography, art & music past KS3.
These are the children we should be interested in. How are they going to see the world?
LOVED this from Christine Counsell quoting Amanda Spielman

South Africa 1948-1994 “one of the three great moments of global civil society” Ciára McCombe brilliantly explaining the need to teach apartheid South Africa at A Level. #HAconf23 Historical Assoc
Less than two weeks to go until A New Focus On...Black Lives in Britain and British Social History. We've had SO much interest in these books over the weekend. Thanks to everyone who attended sessions linked to this series. #HAconf23 Helen Snelson Justice 2 History
A fantastic start to the 2nd day of the #HAconf23 led by Christine Counsell which established a call to arms to keep the true principles of formative assessment at the heart of assessment in History. Loved the idea of foregrounding assessment that is 'so subtle that you don't notice it'
Only halfway through the session but already grateful to LambHeartTea (she/her) and Rachel Ball for a sneak peek at their fab new book and the opportunity to get out the highlighter #haconf23
Who doesn't love starting their morning at work listening to the amazing mary beard unpick Roman emperors at the Historical Assoc conference? I'm currently thinking about the layout of every dictator palace I've ever been to to see if they followed classical wisdom! #HAconf23
Thank you HA conference 23 for inviting me and Jamie Ellis to speak. Our session was fully booked so if you missed it, please see PP and handout on this link drive.google.com/drive/folders/…
We appreciate all feedback as this is the first stage in our research! Historical Assoc #HAconf23
