Cycled into the City Centre via castle Terrace onto Lothian Road into Princes St and then left into Charlotte. SQ intending to go to George St. 🤯 Had to get off onto the pavement while I tried and failed to work out where I was supposed to go. Did I miss a diversion sign?

Cities built after the advent of the car don’t have to be dependent on the car.

Houten is one of several Dutch “new towns” built from scratch in the eighties using principles established while retrofitting their “old towns” in the preceding decades.

Cyclists and pedestrians using Brougham Place should pay attention to the new traffic light sequence. Currently see people/cyclists who know the current traffic light sequence crossing to/from Real Foods / in traffic gaps.

We share your dismay, and also the loss of funding to other projects caused by this . Finding it hard to to see how safe school streets across Edinburgh will ever be delivered now because quietened residential streets might now be off the agenda
