Working today in ArcGIS StoryMaps to tag the League of Red Cross nurses who attended courses at Bedford College London, 1920-1934. Fabulous place-based storytelling tool that is allowing us to experiment with multimedia narratives. Melanie Oppenheimer Rosemary Cresswell (Wall)

Our fourth broadast features medical historian Rosemary Cresswell (Wall) delivering a Tes lecture at University of Oxford. She explores how the deaths of 700,000 British men affected the lives of the country's women following the First World War. ow.ly/z9qL50z4n0x. History@Hull Tes

Tonight's British Red Cross 🧡 event with Rosemary Cresswell (Wall) and Sam Guthrie was an incredible tribute to the volunteers and staff in Northern Ireland.

“Our stories, our times” highlights why the fundamental principles are critical during times of crisis and conflict.

Rosemary Cresswell (Wall) It's odd how times change. Taxidermy was so popular with the Victorians, but seems very strange to us. Florence really loved Athena, nursing her back to health and carrying her with her in her apron! She's now one of our most popular exhibits, particularly with children.

The BBC has produced a great film for this . bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-eng…. It's especially poignant for History@Hull students who previously visited Sledmere House as part of our Heritage and Modern War module with Dr Jenny Macleod, Nick Evans, and Rosemary Cresswell (Wall).
