Another successful grading day this week in Templecombe with Thales UK 👏 So many incredible competition entries prompting lots of discussion around the table!

Plus we even saw the 'Face for a Plant' prototype based on Zavier's entry last year.

We’re delighted to have successfully completed the factory acceptance tests for the development of the new Type 31 frigates.

Today we have been in Crawley, West Sussex England with 22 volunteers from Thales UK for another grading day!

We've seen so many innovative and creative engineering ideas from pupils aged 3-19 and can't wait to award everyone a personalised named and graded certificate! 🏅

Our Type 31 team, along with the Royal Navy’s Rear Admiral Ivan Finn and senior personnel from Defence Equipment & Support visited Thales Group for a programme visit. The group saw the T31 Combat System set up before the hardware is packaged and sent to Rosyth for installation. HMSVenturer

Excellent news that Thales have signed a new 15-year, £18bn contract with the Ministry of Defence... securing hundreds of existing jobs and creating 150 new roles including many at the Cheadle site.

Just Announced: We’re investing nearly £2 billion in our Royal Navy to help maintain our ships and submarines over the next 15 years.

This contract will support hundreds of jobs and local communities across the UK, like those around HMNB Devonport
