First night trapping at my new home in Hertfordshire produced my first Clifden! Also better migrants than I was expecting this far inland with Delicate, Vestal, Silver-y, and 2 Angle Shades.

Trapping in ancient woodland at Long Melford in Suffolk last night produced fewer moths than previous nights, but this migrant PALPITA VITREALIS (Olive-tree Pearl) was ample compensation; the first one I have actually trapped myself. #mothsmatter Migrant Lepidoptera

Migrant Lepidoptera found this Yellow Underwing Pearl near Old Town Churchyard, St Mary’s this morning. First I’ve seen and certainly one I’m happy to have found whilst walking down the road. Amazing underwing too!
